I founded Bookkeeping Brunette with one clear mission: to empower entrepreneurs—especially women—with the financial confidence and clarity to scale their businesses to new heights.

It all started when I noticed a frustrating trend in the accounting world. Small business owners were caught in a messy middle ground—either too big for a casual side-hustle bookkeeper, but not quite large enough for a full-scale accounting firm. And too often, they were handed a bunch of numbers at the end of the year with no clear direction on what to actually do with them.

After six years working in the fast-paced startup space and running my own small business pre-pandemic, I knew firsthand how crucial it was to go beyond just “balancing the books.”
